Leadership Assessment

Miles Advisory have developed a pragmatic assessment model and methodology that is the basis for our individual leadership and management team assessments.  Our approach draws on best practice assessment principles coupled with Miles Advisory’s extensive knowledge of their commercial sector clients.

Individual Assessment

Our methodology enables us to provide evidence-based insights to clients when selecting candidates for senior roles and leadership positions, as well as supporting individual employee development planning.  We use a combination of psychometrics and structured behavioural interview to evaluate candidates’ personality traits and professional behaviour, and we explore the impact that these have on their leadership performance.  This approach enables us to identify their strengths, limitations, and risks, relative to the specific organisational requirements.  We take pride in delivering clear and concise reports that help decision-makers identify individuals who are best-equipped to meet the demands of their roles

Management Team Assessment

We draw on the same methodology – personality profiling, critical reasoning tests and behavioural interviews when undertaking management team assessments, supplemented by additional aggregate team overviews. Our team reports highlight the strengths and gaps that exist in terms of management teams’ combined capabilities, alongside the potential synergies and risks around team effectiveness.

M-Assess

Miles Advisory have developed a propriety assessment model, M-ASSESS to provide evidence-based insights to clients when selecting candidates for senior roles and leadership positions. The model is designed to evaluate: Motivation and drive - Analytical decision making - Strategic planning - InSpirational Leadership - Execution and delivery - Stakeholder engagement - Stress tolerance

Inclusive Leadership Model (ILM)

In response to identified client needs to develop inclusive cultures within their organisations, we have developed ILM - a proprietary assessment tool that measures the extent to which individuals are ‘Inclusive Leaders’. ILM evaluates both the intent/desire and capability to foster (and drive) greater inclusivity within the organisations they lead or are being hired to lead. The tool enables our clients to make more informed choices when it comes to selecting their new leaders.

Bespoke Assessment Solutions

Our expert team are able to create bespoke assessment solutions for clients tailored to specific circumstances. This may include pre- and post-acquisition assessment as part of an integration strategy, our broader team and leadership assessment. These bespoke assessment solutions are often linked to culture change, new leadership priorities and transformation. We work with clients to build and strengthen the capability of their Boards through executive search, succession planning and the provision of independent insight and advice. Our Partners have been delivering an integrated suite of advisory services including executive search, succession planning, review, assessment and coaching for more than 20 years.
