Client Profile
Owned by a US PE firm, a European mobility-components manufacturer was preparing for an exit while continuing to invest in growth. The CEO and Board needed a stronger leadership bench capable of maintaining execution and organisational momentum while senior stakeholders concentrated on the sale process. Closing these capability gaps had become a transaction-readiness priority.
Client Requirement
The client needed to appoint both a Chief Revenue Officer and a Chief HR Officer. The CRO would support the growth agenda and planned European investment, while the CHRO would strengthen organisational capability and ensure the business continued to operate effectively. Both leaders needed to work autonomously, take clear ownership and perform in a high-intensity transaction environment.
Our Approach & Strategy
We ran two coordinated European searches, targeting leaders with relevant sector and functional experience as well as a record of building capability in investor-backed businesses. Assessment focused on commercial or people leadership, personal accountability and the ability to work constructively with the CEO, Board and investors while the business prepared for a potential change of ownership.
Outcome
We delivered strong shortlists for both functions, giving the CEO and investors meaningful choice between multiple appointable candidates. The process resulted in the successful appointment of a Chief Revenue Officer and Chief HR Officer, strengthening the leadership team during a critical period. Shortly afterwards, the business was acquired by another financial sponsor.
