Welcoming James Highett-Smith to Miles Advisory

We are delighted to welcome James to Miles Advisory as a Partner, focused on investor-backed businesses across the UK and Europe, with particular expertise in the lower and middle market.

He works with Private Equity investors, Chairs and CEOs on critical leadership decisions at moments of value creation, turnaround, succession and exit readiness. His work spans Board and C-suite appointments across the investment lifecycle, helping clients define the leadership required for the situation, assess the available options and appoint people capable of delivering against the investment thesis.

James is known for being a thoughtful and challenging partner, combining strategic judgement with a pragmatic approach from role design and assessment through to appointment and onboarding.

Alongside executive search, James supports senior leaders through executive coaching and advises clients where leadership, organisational change and potential M&A intersect.
